About Pesti Pictures

Hey, I’m Vaughan, but most people in the car and bike world just know me as Pesti. I picked up a camera during the first COVID lockdowns in Sydney. I needed something to keep me moving without being in big crowds, so I stood roadside, solo, teaching myself how to shoot. What started as a way to stay sane became an obsession. Today, I shoot with a Canon R1 and a 70–200mm f/2.8, but it’s not about the gear. It’s about getting those angles that make you look like a hero. I aim for clean, true-to-life shots that tell a story, show movement, and let riders choose the moment they want to remember. I don’t over-edit. I don’t chase perfection. I chase that moment, mid-corner, leaned over, wind howling, that makes your jaw drop when you see it. That makes you remember exactly how that ride felt. You’ll usually find me on the Old Pacific Highway, one of Sydney’s most iconic roads, but I’m not afraid to travel. I shoot special group rides like the Sydney Random Riders’ anniversary, Halloween, and novice-friendly runs. Most Wednesdays, I’m trackside at Sydney Dragway with media access, up close where the power really lives. Outside the camera? I’ve been riding since I was 16, I started on a Kawasaki ZX-9R in South Africa, and today I split my seat time between a ZX-10R and a Harley Street Glide. I’m lucky to have a beautiful wife, three amazing kids, two dogs, and two cats, a full house and a full heart. This isn’t just about photography. It’s about capturing the spirit of the ride, and giving people something they can feel proud of, every time they see it. Let’s shoot.
